Southwind Hires From Within
February 3, 2020
Since opening the doors in 2007 Chris Jones has been a part of the fabric of Southwind High School. He has spent the last 12 years of his 19 year career at a place he calls home. “When the doors opened in 2007 and we greeted our students, I knew I was home,” said Jones. As Assistant Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receiver coach under his predecessors Cedric Miller and Rahnmann Slocum, he is ready for the opportunity to turn Southwind into a Championship level team. “My vision is simple, build champions for life,” said Jones. Jones originally from Tupelo, Mississippi brings a wealth of knowledge from his days of playing football at Mississippi State, his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Camden Tiger Cats from the Canadian Football league. “I look forward to creating a lifetime of memories that our players and student body can look back on and be proud of.”
Congratulations Coach Jones!!! Do it BIG!
